Disaster prevention awareness raising activities in stores
DCM holds disaster prevention educational activities at each DCM store to introduce the latest disaster prevention know-how and supplies, holding such events at 32 stores in 2023. Under the concept of "What? I didn't know! A new type of common sense in disaster prevention DIY" we introduce the categories of food, living, room safety, and measures against wind and flood damage, and use displays of modern disaster prevention goods to talk about disaster prevention know-how and concrete preparations for protecting life and living as usual in the event of an emergency. These events are planned to be held in 30 stores in 2024.
We use sustainable materials for our display racks utilizing cardboard and G-Fun* made from recycled aluminum products.
*G-Fun is a system to connect and assemble aluminum frames with connectors, which is manufactured and sold by SUS Corporation, and we offer this system at some DCM stores.
