Management policy

1.Basic policy for company management

The Company is a holding company established on September 1, 2006 through a joint share transfer by DCM Kahma Co., Ltd., DCM Daiki Co., Ltd., and DCM Homac Corp. Since then, the Group has been aggressively expanding its operating base through M&A activities such as stock acquisitions and business acquisitions, and as of the end of February 29, 2020, it is the largest home improvement retail group in Japan with 673 stores in 37 prefectures. DCM (Demand Chain Management) in our company name is not just a technical theory for the distribution industry, but also a belief that we can achieve permanent, independent, and unlimited growth by always and flexibly responding to customer demand and changes in society and the economy, and we believe that this is the key to our success. The Group will not stop at being a mere home improvement retail business, but will provide new value in order to be needed by society, trusted by people, and to stay in business by realizing DCM.

2.Targeted management indicators

The Group will strive to improve profitability and capital efficiency by setting Medium-Term Management Plan targets of 5.8% operating income to net sales and 7.5% return on equity (ROE).

3.Medium to long-term corporate management strategy

In order to realize the two "DCMs" of our management policy and corporate slogan, the Group aims to become an indispensable part of society by flexibly responding to changes in the environment and creating desirable systems and corporate culture for society. For that reason, we are working on the following:

(1) We will strengthen our product development, improve our ability to propose products with an emphasis on things; propose convenience, fun, and valuable products; and work to create attractive stores that are supported by customers.

(2) We will expand our management base through means such as management integration and business alliances to pursue group synergies and build a new cooperative structure with our business partners.

4.Medium-term Management Plan (FY2020 to 2022)

The Company has formulated a Medium-term Management Plan for the period from FY2020 to FY2022, which was announced on April 10, 2020.
